Hylian Language
The Hylian Language is the language of the Hylian people, and it is also spoken
throughout the land of Hyrule. It is known as the "world language" because it is the
language chosen to communicate to other races with. Though Hylian is used world
wide, the other races of the land do have their own languages too, though they use
them within their own groups and very rarely use them outside their own race.
Hylian, as it would sound to a person of Earth, would have a mixture of sounds
similar to the English, Japanese, French, and Egyptian languages. Though Hylian in
it's self is diferent, and has many twists and sounds all it's own.
Hylian grammar and sentance structure have their own uniquenesses, of course,
but the basics are quite similar to the atributes of the Japanese and English
languages of Earth. The sentance structure being mostly like that of the English
language, and certain elements of Hylian are like that in the Japanese language.
In Hyrule, when one is learning the language, the village elder acts as a teacher
to the young students, and the parents also teach when they are not attending the
group sessions. These sessions are much like how Earth's school's are in teaching
reading, writing, proper punctuation and the use of numbers, and how to use proper
grammar and speach edicate.
In the following pages, I will attempt to teach you the Hylian Language. You will
learn the Hylian alphabet and number systems, as well as grammar, words, phrases,
and the propar spelling of certain names and places around Hyrule.
~ Hylian Font ~
You must download the Hylian font version 5.00 to view this, the following pages,
and the rest of my webpage correctly. Click the download link to save the font to
your computer. It is in zip format, for the sake of the text file that shows how
to use the font correctly.
How to download and install font:
- Download the zip below.
- Open the zip. Open, don't extract yet.
- Drag and drop the font file and text file to a folder of your choice.
- Right click the font file and select "cut".
- Paste the font file to the following folder:
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
- Remember to keep the text file. It tells how to use the font properly.
